My mom had called beforehand to ensure safety. It is a top 9 allergen-free facility; however, staff are very helpful and this is definitely a go for those with allergies out of the top 9. When I went in I talked with the main baker and she sat down with me to go through all the ingredients of each menu item to clearly define what was safe for me to eat (I'm allergic to peanut, tree nut, lentil, legume, apple, and cherry). They do use apple cider vinegar in a lot of their products, but I felt comfortable eating there and still had plenty of delicious options. I ordered the Banana Chocolate Chip Muffin (picture above) and had to go back to get another one for the next morning because of how good it was. The desserts weren’t extremely filling and relatively good portion sizes.

Interview with Elizabeth (Owner):

What steps do you take to accommodate people with food allergies? Do you have a food allergy policy in place?

We're a top 9 allergen-free facility so we already cater to the food allergy and autoimmune community. Of course, we still have allergens in our facility. For example, if we receive an order for someone with a strawberry allergy, we make sure our strawberry products aren't in the vicinity when prepping their food. We will wash our hands, put on new gloves and talk through with the guest our procedures so that they feel safe with our protocols.

Are your staff trained and what training do they go through in regards to food allergies?

Yes, everyone is trained regarding food allergies and most of our staff who work for us have food allergies themselves.

What foods on the menu are safe for people allergic to milk, egg, wheat, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, soy, and sesame seeds (top 9 allergens)?

EVERYTHING!!!

How do you take an allergen order different from a regular order?

We go over the severity of the allergy and make sure the customer feels safe moving forward with the order if one of their allergies is present in our facility. There's always a note written on the order form informing the staff of the allergy. This is something taken very seriously!
